Magnetic properties of YBa2Cu3O(x) single crystals in the normal state
Abstract
The paper reports measurements of the magnetic susceptibility (chi) of single-crystal specimens of YBa2Cu3O(x) with different concentrations of oxygen in the normal state. Measurements of chi were made for specimens with the compositions YBa2Cu3O(7.0) and YBa2Cu3O(6.87) for two orientations of the magnetic field, H parallel to c and H perpendicular to c. In general, the magnetic susceptibility of YBa2Cu3O(x) is anisotropic, with chi-parallel greater than chi-perpendicular.
