Parametric generation and phase conjugation of intersecting laser beams in an NLC layer with a dye
Abstract
Parametric generation was obtained in the case of concurrent stimulated scattering of counterpropagating YAG:Nd-laser beams in an NLC (nematic liquid crystal) layer with a dye. Calculations are presented which demonstrate the possibility of the self-PC of the beam with a diffraction spreading length that is commensurable with the size of the region of self-intersections in an NLC with a thermal nonlinearity. The self-PC of quasi-CW radiation was demonstrated.
