Universality Class for Spin Model with Generalized Ising Spin on OneDimensional Lattice
Abstract
We generalize the Ising spin sigma_{i} to a function sigma(x_{i}), which is a mapping from [a, a] into [1, 1]. We obtain lowtemperature expansions of the free energy, the correlation length and so on for a system of sigma(x_{i}) with nearestneighbor interaction on a onedimensional lattice. The critical behavior of the system is determined by the nature of sigma(x_{i}) around its maximum absolute value.
