Observations for searching the short term variations in spectra of γ Cas were made in the winter of 1986. Spectral range was 5750 - 6750 Å. Spectrograms were measured with Perkin Elmer PDS microdensitometer. Emission lines of Hα, He I λ5875 and λ6678 are shown. The profiles of Hα emission are asymmetrical with violet sides being steeper than red sides and have no obvious central absorption components. On the other hand, the He I emission lines are seen to have double emission peaks. This may imply that there are some differences in structure and conditions between the inner and outer parts of the envelope.
