Generation of 39-fs pulses at 815 nm with a synchronously pumped mode-locked dye laser
Abstract
This paper describes a synchronously pumped mode-locked dye laser generating satellite-free 39-femtosec pulses at 815 nm. The laser uses LDS 798 (dissolved in glycol) as the gain medium and a novel combination of HITC-1 and 1,1-prime-diethyl 2,2-prime-tricarbocyanine perchlorate (DTP) dyes as the saturable absorbers. The new laser is a linear-cavity dispersion-compensated dye laser with separate gain and absorber jets. Tuning properties of this laser are described.
