Efficiency of the modal control of the laser beam phase
Abstract
Results of an experimental and theoretical study of nonlinear distortion compensation in adaptive light beam phase control in the basis of primary wave aberrations are reported. It is shown that modal phase control provides for a substantial improvement of the spatial localization of the emission energy over a wide range of the physical parameters. The applicability of the similarity theory developed for nonlinear optics is demonstrated experimentally.
