Thermal noise of a gravitational-wave antenna with a piezoelectric transducer
Abstract
The noise parameters of a piezoelectric tranducer that is part of a gravitational-wave antenna system are calculated using the fluctuation-dissipation theorem and the standard method for describing noise in linear two-ports. The geometrical dimensions of the piezoelectric plate are determined which are necessary for assuring a low intensity of residual noise in the case of source reactive impedance.
