Additional formulations for the extraction of modal parameters using a straight line technique
Abstract
A series of expressions is presented for computing modal parameters from frequency response data. The calculations are based upon a single degree of freedom model with hysteretic damping and uses difference equations to define straightline relationships. It is shown that a number of equations can be developed which permit the direct computation of the modal parameters. The expressions are formulated in terms of both receptance and accelerance data.
