The extended non-thermal radio emission from the Small Magellanic Cloud.
Abstract
Radio continuum surveys of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) at 543 MHz have been made using the Parkes 64-m radio telescope. After subtracting non- thermal emission from background sources, identified supernova remnants and thermal emissions scaled from an Hα map, the resulting large-scale non-thermal emission is used to estimate the distribution of the magnetic field of the SMC.
