The least squares method in connection with processing astronegatives using projective transformations
Abstract
A method for processing of astronegatives is proposed which is based on projective transformations using least-squares estimation. The method is based on the vector interpretation of the basic relations of projective geometry. The proposed method makes it possible to include n reference stars in simultaneous processing while remaining within the projective space. The correctness of the proposed approach is confirmed on a model photo.
