Development of approximate nonlinear models in problems of acoustic field interaction with a free fluid surface
Abstract
The effect of an acoustic field on the nonlinear natural vibrations of a finite fluid volume with a free surface is investigated theoretically. The initial hydrodynamic problem is averaged with respect to fast vibrations, which leads to a nonlinear boundary value problem with a free surface similar in structure to the classical problem of free vibrations of an incompressible fluid. This problem describes the 'slow' vibrations of a free fluid surface under acousto-vibrational loading of this kind.
