Programmable liquid-crystal TV spatial light modulator: modified drive electronics to improve device performance for spatial-light-modulation operation
Abstract
The problem of the display pixel transmittance and contrast in the liquid-crystal modulators is considered. Modifications of the display circuitry made it possible to augment a transmittance range of the modulator at the optimum brightness setting and provide a more effective performance of the liquid-crystal TV.
