Coronal observations with Solar-A satellite
Abstract
The Solar-A satellite carries the soft X-ray telescope (SXT), which is a modernized version of Skylab's soft X-ray telescopes. The SXT instrument is expected to make significant contributions to the research into the physics of the solar corona. This review discusses coronal heating mechanisms, the physics of coronal loops, X-ray bright points, coronal holes, and coronal mass ejections, together with the observational approach to these topics to be taken by the SXT instrument.
