Distance to the Coma Cluster and the Value of H0
Abstract
The Coma cluster distance was determined using the B-band Tully-Fisher relation with the sample whose incompleteness was under control. Surface photometry was carried out to estimate the total magnitude unambiguosly. The Coma galaxies were combined directly with the local calibrators, thus circumventing the Virgo cluster. The analysis resulted in the value of the Hubble constant H0 equal to 92 +/- 16 km/sec per MPC.
