CO observations of brigth carbon stars at 230GHz.
Abstract
Results are reported of a search for emission from the CO(2-1) transition from visually bright carbon stars. Three new objects were detected, and another six were detected for the first time in the CO(2-1) line. Analysis of the 60-micron fluxes measured from visual carbon stars suggests that there are few of these objects remaining which are detectable with current instruments.
