Carbon stars in the galactic bulge-identification, spectrophotometric and infrared photometric data.
Abstract
Positions, identification charts, spectra in the wavelength range 4500-7000 A or 4000-7100 A, and equivalent widths of the main lines and bands are presented for the 34 carbon stars that were identified in eight fields of the galactic bulge. Spectrophotometric data in the visible are provided as well as infrared J, H, and K magnitudes for all these objects, and L magnitudes for about half of them. These data are used to derive intrinsic colors, effective temperatures, and bolometric magnitudes.
