Experimental studies of Josephson effect
Abstract
During the course of this contract, research has been conducted in three distinct areas, all involving the Josephson effect: (1) development of Josephson junction arrays as tunable sources of microwave through submillimeter radiation; (2) conformation of general relativistic effects, equivalent to the red shift, for charged particles; and (3) studies of the quantum mechanics of macroscopic variables, in particular of the flux linking a SQUID.
