External active control of duct noise radiation - An experimental parameter study
Abstract
Experiments that provide insight into practical considerations for placing the control source outside the duct at the duct termination to reduce the radiated noise are presented. The performance of several configurations utilizing externally mounted speakers is measured. Sound power reductions and directivity patterns are measured for several design parameters that may be employed in duct active noise control applications.
