Plane wave diffraction on a reflecting grating in the case of oblique incidence
Abstract
A diffraction model for the case of the oblique incidence of a plane wave on a grating is proposed which is based on the approximate solution of Maxwell equations. The algorithm based on this model allows the efficient calculation of the scattering pattern for a finite grating with allowance for the interaction between the grating elements. The model can be useful in the analysis of beam splitters, couplers, and antireflection coatings.
