A high availability control system architecture
Abstract
A modular high availability, multisatellite ground control computer system, based on the Kernel system, known as the Modular Spacecraft Control System (MSCS) is described. Currently delivered configurations range from a single datastream stand alone system to a fully dual redundant eight datastream system. The basic architecture of the system allows the flexible configuration of modular software and hardware components to provide the required functionality, performance and availability with low cost of ownership.
