Planar laser induced fluorescence measurements in hypersonic shock tunnel flow
Abstract
The laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) theory is considered. The procedures for planar LIF (PLIF) measurements of a hypersonic nitrogen oxide flow, carried out in the Boeing 30 Inch Hypersonic Shock Tunnel, are described together with the results of experimental measurements and data interpretation. The images recorded during this test series yield the first NO PLIF data ever taken in a hypersonic flow field.
