Unsteady wake behind multiple normal plates
Abstract
Wake interactions behind various numbers of multiple flat plates placed side by side were numerically simulated and the results were compared with the experiment. The computed results indicated non-uniform recirculation regions, onset of irregular vortex sheddings and bistable flow patterns behind individual plates. Effects of the spacing between the plates and the number of the plates are demonstrated and discussed.
