A kepsilon nearwall formulation for separated flows
Abstract
A newrwall formulation for the kepsilon model of turbulence is developed based in part on the asymptotic behavior of k, epsilon, and eddy viscosity in the viscous sublayer. This enables the derivation of the function f(mu) in the eddy viscosity formula. The functions f1 and f2 in the epsilonequation are variants of the LamBremhorst (1981) formulation, modified to reduce the length scale in the vicinity of the reattachment region. Several flow cases are calculated to test the model.
