A Newton's method solver for the NavierStokes equations
Abstract
Newton's method for nonlinear systems of equations for steadystate solutions is used to calculate the twodimensional, laminar NavierStokes equations. The symbolic manipulation package MACSYMA is used to develop the code. Numerical results are presented for flat plate and wedge type viscous flows at high supersonic Mach numbers.
