Radiation damage studies on hybrid preamplifiers
Abstract
Low noise hybrid preamplifiers have been irradiated with Co-60 gamma rays and fast neutrons at both room temperature and 120 K to study radiation effects on the noise characteristics. Increase in low frequency parallel noise was observed in preamps powered during irradiation by Co-60 at 1.45 Mrad at room temperature and at 12 Mrad at 120 K and for neutron fluences at 10E13n/sq cm. Annealing and relaxation effects will be discussed.
