Calculation of changes of the mean total pressure in a duct with constant mixing characteristics
Abstract
A method is developed for calculating the mean characteristics, a coefficient characterizing flow inhomogeneity, and total pressure losses for flow of an incompressible fluid in a duct of variable crosssectional area in the presence of constant turbulent mixing along the duct length. The applicability of the computational formulas obtained here is briefly discussed, with consideration given to some particular cases.
