Linear dimensions of regions of boundary layer interaction with shock waves
Abstract
Approximate methods are proposed for estimating the linear dimensions of the separation region formed during the interaction of an incident shock wave with a turbulent, transient, or laminar boundary layer in the stagnation region of the closing shock (pseudoshock). The methods are applicable to the case of boundary layers that have a relatively thin initial cross section.
