A unified methodological approach for describing a group of self-similar solutions of free shear turbulence, based on the generalized inductive theory of Reichardt
Abstract
A unified methodological approach was developed in the framework of Reichardt's inductive theory of turbulence, which describes analytically a group of self-similar solutions of free shear turbulence. It is shown that the most efficient unified approach that can represent the whole group of self-similar solutions is an approach based on the method of group analysis that is currently used for solving application problems in gas dynamics and fluid mechanics. Aanlytical solutions are obtained for jet flows with zero momentum deficit. The results are compared with those obtained by other theories, experimental data, and known asymptotics of self-similar flows.
