Density of states and evaporation rate of helium clusters
Abstract
The density of states of4He clusters is calculated on the assumption that only surface vibrations are thermally excited. Results for mixed3He-4He and3He clusters are also given. The Weisskopf procedure is used to calculate the evaporation rates and the cooling laws of helium clusters at low temperatures.
