Precision star sensor for attitude measurement by scientific satellites
Abstract
A high-precision star sensor has been developed for the Rosat satellite. The sensor can simultaneously measure the coordinates and magnitudes of three actual stars and one artificial alignment control star. The structure and function of the sensor are examined. The calibration and testing of the instrument are described in detail.
