Optical properties of a plasma in extreme states
Abstract
A semiempirical method is presented for calculating the bremsstrahlung spectrum of a plasma in the extreme states. The case of zero frequencies (static conductivity) is first considered. The spectral plasma absorption coefficient is then examined and related to the optical and static conductivity of the plasma. The approach proposed here is based on a wideband analytical model for calculating plasma composition proposed in an earlier study (Bespalov and Polishchuk, 1988).
