Infrared-reflection spectra of the superconducting Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu oxide
Abstract
The reflection and transmission characteristics of samples of the high-temperature superconductor Bi(1.85)Pb(1.15)Sr1Ca1Cu2O(x) were measured in the 0.5-50-micron range. Measurements were carried out at temperatures of 295 and 95 K, corresponding to the normal and superconducting states of the samples. Features in the IR reflection spectra are observed which are associated with the transition of the samples to the superconducting state.
