The purpose of the study was to obtain optimization algorithms for a given mesh. The method proposed consists of two steps: the construction of the initial mesh and the optimization step. In the first step a cost value representing quality is attributed to each triangle or tetrahedron. In the second step optimization algorithms are developed for minimizing the object function associated with the tetrahedrization.
