Secondary standards for Hβ photometry in the southern hemisphere (second series).
Abstract
The Hβ photometry of E-region standard stars (Cousins 1989) has now been extended to include fainter stars and stars in the F-regions and near the Magellanic Clouds, a total of 282 stars. Stars from the first series were re-observed to fix the zero points with s.e. ≅ ±0.001 mag. The internal s.e. for individual stars in both series is usually ±0.001 mag (or smaller) and the r.m.s. difference between the means for the zero point stars is ±0.0020 mag. A few eighth magnitude stars are included in the list.
