Investigation of the response of the lower ionosphere to distant powerful earthquakes
Abstract
The method of partial reflections was used in an experimental investigation of disturbances in the lower ionosphere accompanying distant powerful earthquakes. This method makes it possible to obtain vertical profiles of the parameters of the signal and of the lower ionosphere with a high time resolution. The results suggest that the observed disturbances are in fact caused by the earthquakes.
