Internal problem of the statistics of a waveguide phasedarray antenna
Abstract
A mathematical model for a waveguide phasedarray antenna is developed which determines the random amplitudephase distribution (APD) in the array aperture given random parameters of the microwave units. The present investigation confirms the feasibility of developing a direct statistical model of a waveguide phasedarray antenna on the basis of modern computer technology. Substantial differences are found between the statistical characteristics of the APD derived here and those considered in the published literature concerning the solution of the external statistics problem for phased arrays.
