Interference of convergent wave beams
Abstract
The interference of convergent wave beams in an antenna system is investigated theoretically. It is shown that the radiation pattern formed by the system of wave beams is characterized by the fact that the phase center of the radiation is removed from the radiating aperture into the focal plane, separated from the former by the focal distance. The proposed theory can be used to calculate arrays comprising many wave beams.
