Orientation distribution of magnetic field oriented YBa 2Cu 3O 6 powders
Abstract
The orientation of the crystallites in YBa 2Cu 3O 6 powders is studied by X-ray diffraction. It is found that a conventional powder diffractogram might be misleading in evaluating the degree of orientation. The mapping of single crystal type reflections has been carried out to obtain a more detailed picture of the orientation of crystallites. Experimental results are presented for the (0, 0, 5) reflection of Y 0.98Gd 0.02Ba 2Cu 3O 6.02 oriented powder samples with various crystallite sizes.
