Dimerisation in frustrated antiferromagnets
Abstract
The breakdown of antiferromagnetism in the pseudospin formulation of the t-J model into a novel dimerised state is considered. The method used is a simplified Wilson renormalisation scheme. The state has a lower energy than Hartree Fock for some parameter values in both one and two dimensions.
