Anodic oxidation of the high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3O(7-delta)
Abstract
The anodic oxidation of Yba2Cu3O(7-delta) is demonstrated experimentally. It is shown that anodic preoxidation of the HTSC samples with oxygen deficiency with the aim of obtaining a rhombic phase with Tc of about 90 K does not require a prolonged period of time or high temperature. The anodic oxidation can be performed at temperatures less than 380 C. The importance of sample stoichiometry control with respect to oxygen in the anodization process is also noted.
