Delamination and superconducting drops in high-temperature superconductors
Abstract
A model is proposed which describes the stratification of high-temperature superconductors into metallic and dielectric phases. The stratification may be due to the formation of a superconducting order. The model makes it possible to explain the finite resistance observed in superconducting Ba(1-x)K(x)BiO3 specimens in a weak magnetic field that is higher than the resistance of the normal phase.
