The glauber formula for AA collisions and the phase transition for large A
Abstract
It is shown that the Glauber formula for AA collisions in the limit of high A implies a phase transition in the nuclear matter of colliding nuclei into a domainlike state with the target and projectile interpenetrating each other without interaction. The result is obtained for the model of cylindrical nuclei aligned along the zaxis by the effective twodimensional quantum field theorymethod proposed earlier.
