Photometry of the extreme helium star HD 124448.
Abstract
The extreme helium star HD 124448 has been examined for photometric variability on time-scales ranging from hours to years. There is no evidence for light variations of more than 0.02 mag. Following a similar result for BD + 10 deg 2179, the criterion for pulsational instability in hot luminous hydrogen-deficient stars appears to be the L/M ratio of the star.
