Absolute OCS wavenumbers and analysis of bands in the region of the overtone 2 ν2
Abstract
The infrared spectrum of OCS in the region of the overtone 2 ν2 has been studied with a Fourier transform spectrometer at a resolution of 0.003 cm -1. Calibration lines with high absolute wave-number accuracy have been produced in the spectral range of 1000-1080 cm -1. The overtone band 2 ν2 and the hot bands 3 ν2- ν2 and 4 ν2-2 ν2 have been analyzed, considering especially the effects of l-type resonances. As a result, a set of molecular constants for the vibrational levels v2 = 2, v2 = 3, and v2 = 4 have been derived.
