Preparation of high- Tc Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O films on MgO substrates by the solvent-evaporation epitaxial (SEE) method
Abstract
Thin films of high-T c superconductor Bi 2Sr 2CaCu 2O x were prepared on MgO (100) substrate by a epitaxial method using a KCl solvent evaporation technique. The film consisted of three phases, a major phase as Bi 2Sr 2CaCu 2O x, a minor phase as Bi 2Sr 2CuO x and a trace phase as Bi 2Sr 2Ca 2Cu 3O x, the ratio of which depended on growth conditions. The films showed superconducting transitions of full zero resistivity at 85 K.
