The Status of Sunspot Cycle 22 Through July 1990
Abstract
The performance of several indices of solar activity during the rise of cycle 22 is described. The northern hemisphere is seen as the more active hemisphere when relative sunspot number is considered, although the southern hemisphere has spawned the greater number of strong solar x-ray flares.
