Charged particles and low-frequency noise in the polar ionosphere during magnetospheric disturbances
Abstract
Measurements of the energetic-particle flux, the intensity of LF emissions, and the geomagnetic field in the upper atmosphere during the magnetic storm of April 3-5, 1979 are analyzed. These measurements clarify the relationship between LF emissions and precipitating particles in the polar-cusp region during the disturbance period.
