Dynamics of nonlinear inner gravity waves at the heights of the ionospheric F-region.
Abstract
A two-dimensional evolutionary equation is obtained which describes the dynamics of nonlinear wave disturbances in the neutral component in the F-region. The excitation of traveling electron-density disturbances in the F-region by nonlinear internal gravity waves is examined. As an example, attention is given to a model problem for medium-scale and large-scale wave effects of a solar eclipse.
