Solving inverse problems of remote refractometric sensing of the atmosphere using limb observations
Abstract
The inverse problems of satellite tomography of the atmosphere based on eikonal and refraction measurements are considered within the framework of the firstorder perturbation theory, which makes it possible to reduce these problems to the Abeltype linear integral equations. Analytical expressions for the factorization of inverse operators are derived. A simple approximation for a correcting operator is derived which makes it possible to raise the accuracy of the horizontal resolution, compared to the approximation of the locally spherical symmetrical atmosphere.
