A general form of solutions for the linear Boltzmann equation
Abstract
The linear Boltzmann equation is examined in Euclidean space. A general form of continuous solutions to the above equation is then proposed in terms of the eigenfunctions (both regular and singular) of the corresponding characteristic equation. The corresponding theorems are proved using the theory of integral equations of the second kind.
